Review for MY HOLLYWOOD by Mona Simpson, read by Bhama Roget (AudioGO)

“…She uses a rich, lilting cadence for Lola, adding a touch of humor when the nanny gently mangles common English phrases, yet her tones reveal the character’s complexity when she makes honest observations about American parents. Scenes with Lola’s friends are treasures of spicy Latin and demure Asian accents. Roget’s narrative skills elevate this quiet novel.” – Booklist
