Review for TOO MANY MURDERS by Colleen McCullough, read by Charles Leggett

“…Leggett reads compellingly, hitting each word appropriately and turning such sibilant-intensive phrases as “heaps of boxes students seemed to accumulate” into clear, nonjuicy declarations. Dialogue is handled through a variety of tones and inflections: some characters slur their speech; others leave off the g when words end in ing, among other distinctions. Listeners can easily distinguish the many supporting characters, including recognizing their position in society from their cultured or noncultured speaking voices…Those familiar with Delmonico from On, Off (2007) will most likely concur that Leggett has nailed his voice.” – © AudioFile
